Here is a photo of the Harris's Hawk that Michael Retter and I saw the other day when returning from scouring the shorebird/tern pack at the Houston Audubon sanctuary of Bolivar Flats. It was a bit of a shock "find" in these parts, being generally a rare bird on the Upper Texas Coast, although we later learned that this particular bird has been hanging around the area for some months now. Long may that continue!
